Volunteer Membership Application

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for White Cross Volunteer Fire Department!

There are a few requirements you must fulfill before we can review your application.

1. You must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid NC Driver’s
2. You must live within one mile of the district line and respond to 33% of fire related calls

or work a minimum of 28 duty hours a month at the station.

1. You must sign a consent for a full criminal background check and driving history
2. You must have an acceptable driving
3. Convicted felons and misdemeanors will be evaluated on a case-by-case
4. You must be available for Monday training sessions that start at 1900
   • Training is not held on holidays or in the month of
   • It is recommended that you attend a training session regular in order to meet the members and officers.
   • You are required to attended 1 out of every 3 training

No application will be considered until a certified copy of your background check and driving record have been reviewed. A link to complete your background check will be emailed to you once you complete application.
